While not exactly new, EFT has been around since the inception of electricity. Also known as Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Technology, the process uses electrical currents in the healing process. While only first used on humans, the process was later approved for healing racehorses and other animals with broken bones and other injuries.

While the approval for healing in the animal kingdom took some time, the work with humans started much earlier. Although, once approved, veterinarians began having great success when it came to healing various animals of broken bones and other issues. While this is the case, some devices still require a medical prescription when promoted as having health benefits.

Commercial electromagnetic frequency tapping has become quite popular with free offerings from various websites. As a result, many personal devices related to the process are now available on the open market. In fact, a number of shopping malls in the United States and elsewhere now have kiosks and stores which sell personal models of this equipment.

The FDA recently approved these devices for use in surgical operations. In most cases, these surgeries are related to spinal issues such as stenosis and sciatica. Although, this type treatment has also seen a great deal of success with regards to emotional and psychological well being as well as physical. As a result, the process and associated devices have seen success in a number of different areas in the medical field.

Like with drugs, there are classifications related to different types of devices and procedures within the medical community. In 2015, the FDA rescheduled PEMF devices to a class two status. However, anyone seeking PEMF devices which claim to provide health benefits still require a prescription for personal use.

The electrical currents used in this process can be beneficial when used correctly. When used incorrectly or without following directions, there can also be issues related to nerve damage. As such, those using these type devices sold on the open market need read all instructional materials before use.

Unlike in the early days, when anyone needing this treatment had to be inserted into a coil-based enclosed system, there are now other options. Some of which require expensive equipment and others which can be self-imposed with a simple tapping method. Most often, serious issues like stenosis and sciatica are going to involve more intense treatment. Whereas, individuals can often use a personal tapping pattern to help alleviate headaches and other minor conditions. These EFT tapping patterns and other information is readily available online by typing EFT into any search engine, then clicking on any links of interest.

While most devices associated with EFT or manufactured outside the U. S., all are generally marketed as personal use items. Whether that be an electric yoga mat, a personal massager or other item. As such, those looking to purchase these items may want to search a number of different online stores when looking to obtain a device associated with this healing method.
