More and more medical researches are being conducted to establish just how far the papaya plant can go in fighting life threatening ailments. The leaves can also be directly crushed and applied on a wound are mixed with honey and then taken particularly when curing flues.

The major use of this medicine is in the cure dengue fever. The enzymes from the resulting juice are known to boost platelets and helps relieve symptoms. It also contains anti-malarial and anti-cancer properties as the enzyme content can fight cancer tumors with no toxic effect.

The papaya leaf extract is also valuable particularly in aiding of digestion. With so many active ingredients, the formula has been found to fight fungal infections, many of the bacterial infections, a number of viruses, both internal and external worms and many other microbes. It also aids in adding platelets in the blood tissue. With such properties, it is commonly used to cure flue, cure of a number of sexually transmitted diseases like syphilis, burning of body fats and even relieving of menstrual pain.
